1. Scope and data controller
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data are processed in connection with https://felisomnia.it (the “Website”), the promotional website for Felisomnia — Behind a Cat’s Eyes.
The data controller is:
Dario Amadeo Tucci
Via Fabio Filzi 90, Brescia, Italy
Email: muhkillerraimen@gmail.com
You may contact the controller at this email address for questions about this policy or to exercise your data protection rights.
This policy is provided under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR) and applicable Italian data protection legislation, including Legislative Decree No. 196/2003, as amended.
It covers the Website only. It does not describe data processing within the game, playtests or the Felisomnia Discord community. Services accessed through external links are subject to their own privacy policies.
2. Browsing data and website security
When you visit the Website, the infrastructure used to deliver it processes technical information needed to handle your requests. Depending on the hosting configuration, this may include your IP address, request date and time, requested resource, response status, browser or device information and referring page where transmitted by your browser.
These data are used to deliver the Website, maintain its operation, diagnose errors and protect it against abuse and security incidents. They are not used by the controller to create advertising profiles or track you across websites.
The legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest in operating and securing the Website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Technical data transmitted as part of a web request are necessary to deliver the requested resources; without them, the Website cannot be served to your device.
Hosting provider: FastNom (Planetel S.p.A.), Via Boffalora 4, 24048 Treviolo (BG), Italy. Provider privacy information: https://www.fastnom.it/privacy. FastNom states that its servers are located in Italy and Germany; the arrangements applicable to this Website depend on the hosting plan and contract.
3. Email enquiries and privacy requests
If you contact the controller by email, your email address, any name you provide, the content of your message and any attachments will be processed to handle your enquiry and reply to you.
Providing these data is voluntary. Without a return address and enough information to understand your enquiry, the controller may be unable to respond.
For general enquiries, the legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest in responding to correspondence under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where a request concerns steps necessary before entering into a contract with you, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies. Requests to exercise GDPR rights are handled to comply with legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
Please provide only information relevant to your request and avoid sending sensitive personal information or information about other people unless necessary.
The controller uses the Gmail address indicated above to receive and reply to messages. Information about Google’s processing is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
4. Externally hosted fonts
The Website currently loads Silkscreen, Pixelify Sans and Almendra Display through Google Fonts. To retrieve the font stylesheets and files, your browser connects to Google’s servers. These requests disclose technical information such as your IP address and request information, including browser information and the referring website where transmitted.
The purpose is to display the Website’s typography. The controller relies on legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for this display function. This is distinct from advertising or visitor analytics; no Google Analytics or Google Ads code is included in the Website.
For information about Google’s processing, see https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://fonts.google.com/faq.
5. External links and website features
The Website contains links to itch.io, Discord, Instagram, TikTok and the website developer’s website. These are ordinary links rather than embedded social widgets. Following a link takes you to an external service, whose operator processes data according to its own policies.
The Website does not offer user registration, direct purchases, a contact form or newsletter subscriptions. The controller does not use the Website for personalised advertising, behavioural profiling or automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
The Website stores a local preference for 180 days to remember your choice in its cookie banner. This stores the selected choice, the necessary-storage status and an expiry timestamp, is not used to identify or track you, and does not leave your browser through Website code. For information about cookies and similar technologies, please read the Website’s Cookie Policy.
6. Recipients and access to data
Personal data may be processed by the providers needed to host and operate the Website and deliver email or font services, for the purposes described above. The controller may also disclose data to competent authorities where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
The controller does not sell visitors’ personal data or share them for third-party marketing.
Providers may act as processors or independent controllers depending on the particular service and applicable contractual arrangements.
Access is limited to the controller and the service providers involved in the relevant operation, to the extent necessary for their tasks.
7. Retention
Personal data are retained only for as long as needed for the purposes for which they were collected.
- Technical logs: retained for the period needed to operate the Website, investigate technical failures and address security incidents. Retention depends on the hosting configuration and the continued need for the relevant records. Records relating to a specific incident may be retained for the time needed to investigate it or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You may contact the controller for information about the applicable hosting configuration.
- Enquiry emails: retained while the enquiry is being handled and, afterwards, only as long as necessary for related follow-up or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. Relevance, the status of the enquiry and applicable limitation periods are used to determine whether continued retention is necessary.
- Privacy-rights requests: retained as necessary to process the request and document compliance with applicable data protection obligations.
Where legal obligations or a specific dispute require longer retention, only relevant data are retained for the necessary period. Retention by providers acting as independent controllers is described in their own policies.
8. International transfers
Google services used for fonts and email may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. The Website’s hosting arrangements must also be taken into account when identifying any international transfers.
Google states that it processes information on servers around the world, including outside the EEA. Its published transfer framework identifies adequacy decisions, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified recipients, and Standard Contractual Clauses where required for transfers not covered by an adequacy decision. Details, certification references and instructions for requesting a copy of the clauses are available at https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks. You may also contact the controller for information about the services used by this Website.
FastNom states that its hosting servers are located in Italy and Germany, within the EEA. This statement concerns hosting and does not exclude the international processing associated with Google services described above.
9. Your rights
Subject to the conditions and limitations set out in the GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion or restriction of processing. You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests. Data portability applies where the processing is automated and based on consent or a contract.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. The Website does not currently request consent for marketing or tracking.
To exercise your rights, email muhkillerraimen@gmail.com. If necessary, the controller may request proportionate information to verify your identity. Requests are normally answered within one month; where the GDPR permits an extension, you will be informed of the extension and its reasons.
You may lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, at https://www.garanteprivacy.it, or with another competent supervisory authority, particularly in the EU country of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement.
10. Security and updates
The controller uses appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, taking into account the nature of the processing and its risks.
This policy may be updated when the Website’s services or processing arrangements change. The current version will be published on this page with its revision date. Where required, further notice will be provided before new processing begins.
